On Wednesday, March 29, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Elementary School (OLF) hosted members of the North Bay Police Service (NBPS) for a fun and friendly game of volleyball. The intermediate volleyball teams from OLF squared off on their home court against the local officers in a game that saw the members of the school community come together.
With the court surrounded by students and staff, the two sides set, volleyed and spiked their way through a fun contest of back-and-forth rallies. Our Lady of Fatima Principal Susan Wardell greeted the crowd of eager Bobcat fanatics with excitement and praise, as this was the first school visit the NBPS had apparently made for a recreational sporting event since before the COVID-19 pandemic began.
After eventually completing a set of games between the two sides, the respective squads decided to mix it up and have all three squads mesh together to give the crowd their all-star game-like match-ups.
